Ribhian Games LLC is an independent tabletop roleplaying game publisher dedicated to creating fully realised game worlds that reward curiosity, punish complacency, and never mistake spectacle for substance. We build settings with the same fundamental commitment as the great pillars of speculative fiction — worlds that existed before the story began, and will continue long after it ends.

Our flagship framework is the Heptaverse — a cosmological architecture of seven primal elemental forces that underpins seven distinct settings, each one a fully independent game world that shares deep structural DNA with the others. From the high fantasy of the Chronicles of Ribhus to the science fiction of Ray Gun Rapture, the Heptaverse is the connective tissue of everything we build.

Roll 2d10

Every action is resolved by rolling two ten-sided dice and adding your ability modifier. Meet or beat the Difficulty Target to succeed. The bell curve of two dice means average results are common — and extremes are memorable.

Doubles

When both dice show the same number, something extraordinary happens. Doubles on a success produce spectacular results. Doubles on a failure compound the complication. Every roll holds the possibility of something unforgettable.

Class Resonance

Each character carries a personal pool of Class Resonance (CR) — the fuel for their most powerful abilities and special techniques. Limited but recoverable, it ensures every decision about spending it carries genuine weight.

Karma Points

A small reserve of Karma Points (KP) gives players a safety net for the moments that truly matter. Spend one to roll twice and take the better result — fate bending in your favour when you need it most.

Skill Synergy

When two trained skills naturally complement each other, they work together for a +2 Synergy Bonus. Roll Doubles on a synergised check and the bonus compounds — extra expertise, extra resource recovery, or an additional effect the single skill alone could never produce.

Reputation

Characters accumulate Fame and Infamy independently — your heroic deeds and your darker history are tracked separately, because the world holds both in mind at once. Each opens doors the other cannot, and each attracts exactly the kind of attention you might not want.

Hexagonal Combat

Tactical combat is built on a hexagonal grid that rewards positioning, flanking, and movement in equal measure. Three tiers of engagement — from fast convention play to full tactical simulation — mean the same system scales from a two-hour demo to a years-long campaign.

Resonance & Dissonance

When cosmic forces align with your actions, roll three dice and keep the best two. When they work against you, keep the worst two. Combine with Skill Synergy and Doubles and a single roll becomes a conversation between your character, their training, and the universe itself.

The 2d10 system was designed to be immediately accessible to veterans of other tabletop roleplaying games while offering a richer probability space. Two dice produce a natural bell curve — consistent enough to reward preparation, dramatic enough to reward ambition. The Doubles mechanic ensures that even the most routine roll carries the possibility of something extraordinary.
